Lettering

Letter cutting on stone takes many different forms, from Hand-Cut V shaped to more modern Sand Blasting. The letters are then painted using the chosen colour or gilt with 23 ½ ct. Gold Leaf. We are also one of the last Monumental Masons specialising in Flush and Raised Lead lettering which is completely hand-cut.

At Davidson & Son we are happy to give a free non obligation quotation for additional lettering on your family memorial. We can help with the wording and show you how much space the new inscription will take up on the stone.

You can either call or e-mail us with the following details:

• Cemetery name
• Grave Plot No. (or accurate directions if you do not have the plot no.)
• Surname on stone or perhaps a photograph
• Some details of the wording you would like added (names and dates)

We can then look at your memorial and send you a written quotation for you to discuss with your family. If you prefer to meet us in the cemetery so that any questions you may have can be addressed, we are happy to arrange an appointment at a convenient time including evenings (light permitting) and weekends.
